He emphasized that their primary responsibility is to protect lives and property, and not to take advantage of the situation to pursue personal political interests.

Governor Fubara reminded the police officers that their role is to maintain peace and order, and that political affiliations are temporary. He urged them to focus on their professional duties and not to be swayed by political anxieties. The governor's remarks came during the inauguration and handover of 100 operational vehicles to the Rivers State Police Command.

He emphasized the importance of police professionalism and impartiality in maintaining peace and protecting the people of Rivers State. Governor Fubara encouraged the police officers to conduct their operations with integrity and to be effective in their responsibility of protecting lives and property. He stressed that their duty is to serve the people of Rivers State, and not to protect individual interests or engage in political activities.
