Milan is on the verge of signing Nigerian forward Victor Boniface.
According to reports from football journalists Fabrizio Romano, Matteo Moretto, and Florian Plettenberg, Boniface has already agreed to a four-year contract that would go into effect if Milan makes the move permanent next summer.
Manager Massimiliano Allegri has been pushing for new attacking options since the start of the season, as the team's only fit center-forward has been Santiago Gimenez.
The urgency to find reinforcements increased after a minor injury to Rafael Leao, who had been playing as a makeshift striker.
The Italian giants had previously explored options like Manchester United's Rasmus Hojlund and Juventus' Dusan Vlahovic, but they were unable to reach an agreement.
Boniface has already completed an initial medical and is undergoing further examinations at the Galeazzi Hospital in Milan. If the deal is finalized, he will be Milan's eighth summer signing, joining Luka Modric, Ardon Jashari, Samuele Ricci, Koni De Winter, Pervis Estupinan, Zachary Athekame, and Pietro Terracciano.
