Politics & Governance
 1. 2027 Presidency: The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is facing internal divisions as various factions are positioning different candidates for the 2027 presidential election. Among those reportedly fighting for the party's ticket is Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde.

 2. ECOWAS Counter-Terrorism Force: The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) plans to raise $2.5 billion for a 260,000-man counter-terrorism force to combat the growing threat of terrorism in the region.
