In a somber announcement that has reverberated through the world of professional wrestling and beyond, legendary WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan, whose real name was Terry Gene Bollea, has passed away at the age of 71.

Reports indicate that Hogan died on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at his residence in Clearwater, Florida, following a reported cardiac arrest.

Emergency services were dispatched to Hogan's home early Thursday morning after a "cardiac arrest" call.

While initial details were scarce, paramedics and police were seen at the scene, and Hogan was reportedly transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The news comes after recent speculation about Hogan's health. His wife, Sky Daily, had previously denied rumors that he was in a coma, assuring fans that his heart was "strong" and he was recovering from recent neck procedures, including a "little fusion procedure" he underwent in May.

Hulk Hogan was one of the most iconic figures in the history of professional wrestling, credited with bringing the sport into the mainstream in the 1980s.

With his larger-than-life persona, signature red and yellow attire, bandana, and catchphrases like "Whatcha gonna do when Hulkamania runs wild on you?", he became a global phenomenon. He headlined numerous WrestleMania events and was a multiple-time world champion.

Beyond the wrestling ring, Hogan also ventured into acting, appearing in films such as "Rocky III" and "Mr. Nanny," and maintained a presence in popular culture for decades.

WWE has confirmed his passing, issuing a statement that reads: "WWE is saddened to learn WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan has passed away.

One of pop culture's most recognizable figures, Hogan helped WWE achieve global recognition in the 1980s. WWE extends its condolences to Hogan's family, friends, and fans."

Hogan is survived by his wife, Sky Daily, and his children, Brooke and Nick.

His contributions to professional wrestling and his impact on pop culture are widely acknowledged as immense, and his passing marks the end of an era for many.
