Popular Nollywood actor Alexx Ekubo has been lost to the cold hands of death. He died at a Lagos, hospital.
Family sources disclosed that the actor, who has been absent from social media space, passed away yesterday, Monday, May 11, at the age of 40.
Ekubo’s absence from social media had sparked concern among fans. His last Instagram post was made on December 30, 2024.
Alexx Ekubo is well known in the Nigerian movie industry for his acting prowess. He has a close relationship with actor IK Ogbonna.
While he was alive, Alexx Ekubo had a relationship with Fancy Achelonu; however, the relationship hit a rough patch, and the reason behind it is not disclosed publicly. She announced her breakup with Nollywood actor Alexx Ekubo in August 2021, calling off their wedding, which had been scheduled to hold in November of the same year.
At the time, Fancy explained that she needed to “live her truth” and prioritize her happiness. She later hinted at personal reasons behind the split, including feelings of betrayal.
Before the breakup, the former couple had gotten engaged in Los Angeles on May 9, 2021, with the announcement generating massive excitement among fans and colleagues in the entertainment industry.
