Olivier Giroud, France's all-time leading goalscorer, has announced his retirement from international football. With 57 goals in 137 appearances, Giroud has had a storied career with the French national team. He won the World Cup in 2018 and was also a World Cup and European Championship runner-up.

Giroud will join Los Angeles FC in Major League Soccer next season. He broke Thierry Henry's national goalscoring record of 51 at the 2022 World Cup finals in Qatar. Giroud's retirement marks the end of an era for French football, but his legacy will live on as one of the greatest strikers in the team's history.
