Hilda Baci Kicks Off Guinness World Record Attempt for Largest Pot of Jollof Rice

Celebrity chef Hilda Baci has officially begun her quest to set a new Guinness World Record for the largest pot of jollof rice, with a bold target of 250 bags of rice.

Hilda, who won global fame in 2023 after breaking the record for the longest cooking marathon, launched this new challenge at Eko Hotels, Lagos, before an energetic crowd of fans and supporters.

Before the first grain of rice hit the pot, Hilda and her mother were seen praying together—asking for strength, protection, and endurance. The heartfelt moment drew cheers from the audience, many of whom praised her mother as the backbone of her journey.

Adding a personal touch, Hilda posted:

“Yes, I can officially confirm this pot is squeaky clean! I rolled up my sleeves and washed it myself. In just a few hours, this same pot will carry thousands of servings of Nigerian Jollof history in the making.”

Originally scheduled for Muri Okunola Park, the event was moved to Eko Hotels due to overwhelming interest. Organizers confirmed that more than 20,000 people registered to witness the history-making attempt.

As the giant pot begins to simmer, excitement builds for what could soon be another world record credited to the Nigerian star.
