The Nigeria National League (NNL) has fined El-Kanemi Warriors Football Club of Maiduguri One Million Naira (N1,000,000;00) for indecent conduct during their Day One fixture against Nasarawa United at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu. The fine was due to El-Kanemi Warrior's supporters invading the pitch after a goal scored by their team via penalty was cancelled by the referee.  El-Kanemi's supporters also attempted to attack the referee, but were stopped by security. The head of El-Kanemi Warrior's Supporters Club has been banned for the rest of the Super Eight competition.

The one million naira fine and ban of the Supporters Club head are clear messages that such conduct will not be tolerated. Invading the pitch and attempting to attack the referee are serious offenses that can compromise player and official safety. The NNL's sanctions aim to maintain order and discipline in the league.
