Napoli have been advised to reconsider prioritising the signing of Nigeria International, Ademola Lookman.
Marcelo Altamura, an Italian football expert, gave the advice, saying the Nigerian does not listen to instruction.
The expert said instead, the Serie A champions Napoli should focus on bringing in Mattia Zaccagni and Dan Ndoye.
This advice came in spite of Lookman’s stellar season with Atalanta.
Lookman has been linked with Napoli following his impressive 2024-25 season.
The Italian told1 Station Radio, through Area Napoli, that Lookman has issues with tactical discipline and team integration.
Altamura said, “I would probably choose the Zaccagni–Ndoye pairing, and I’ll tell you why. They are both strong and reliable players."
“Ndoye, on the other hand, is a player I have always liked: explosive, very technical, but also disciplined. He is not one of those ‘anarchic’ talents like Lookman, who scores a gem of a goal but then doesn’t follow the instructions.
“In short, if I could choose, I would undoubtedly opt for the two of them."
Lookman made 5 assists and scored 15 goal across 31 Serie A appearances for Atalanta last term.
