Super Eagles has arrived in Moscow ahead of historic friendly with Russia.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria left England for Moscow on Sunday night as they get ready for an international friendly against Russia scheduled for Friday, 6th of June.
The newly crowned Unity Cup champions will arrive in Moscow in the early hours of Monday in almost a four-hour flight from London to Moscow.
The match has been scheduled to take place at the iconic Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow, marks the first-ever senior-level meeting between Nigeria and Russia.
Recently, head coach Eric Chelle and his squad conpleted their participation in the 2025 Unity Cup invitational tournament in London, where they stood out as champions. Nigeria defeated Jamaica 5-4 in a penalty shootout at Brentford’s Gtech Community Stadium after a 2-2 draw in regulation time to secure the title.
The team will make the journey to Russia through Morocco, continuing their preparations for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
