The Federal Government of Nigeria has attributed the non-payment of June 2025 salaries to some of its employees, particularly those banking with Zenith Bank, to technical network glitches.

In a statement released on Friday by Bawa Mokwa, Director (Press and Public Relations) for the Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation (OAGF), the government acknowledged receiving complaints about the delayed payments. Investigations revealed that a technical network glitch during salary processing at the bank affected employees across various Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs).

The OAGF expressed regret for the inconvenience and assured affected employees that immediate steps are being taken to resolve the issue. The office is working closely with relevant service providers and stakeholders to reprocess the failed payments promptly.

The statement appealed for calm, reassuring all affected staff that efforts are underway to isolate the problem and ensure everyone receives their rightful salaries in the shortest possible time.

The OAGF reiterated its commitment to transparency, accountability, and efficiency in payroll operations, and to continuous engagement with stakeholders for improved service delivery.
