At the Miss South Africa finale on Saturday night, host Bonang Matheba made a bold fashion statement by wearing five breathtaking outfits created by gifted Nigerian designers. As a highly influential and popular entertainment personality in South Africa, Matheba brought her A-game to the event, which marked her fourth time hosting the pageant. With a massive combined followers of over 8.58 million on social media, Matheba's fashion choices were sure to make a lasting impact.

Ms. Matheba's stunning appearance was crafted by an elite team of Nigerian beauty experts, who meticulously curated every aspect of her look, highlighting their exceptional skill and artistry. This all-Nigerian glam squad brought their creative vision to life, resulting in a truly unforgettable visual experience.

She was styled by a Nigerian stylist, Dahmola, and rocked outfits by Veekee James, Somo by Somo, Sheye Oladejo, Mazelle Bridal and Emagine by bukola.

The decision was seen as a heartening gesture of solidarity and a fitting tribute to Chidimma Adetshina, the Miss South Africa contestant who withdrew from the competition amid controversy surrounding xenophobia and national identity in South Africa. Each of Ms. Matheba's looks received widespread acclaim, and Nigerians were thrilled with the showcase of their country's design talent and viewed this showcase as a welcome nod to Adetshina and a celebration of Nigerian excellence.

Prior to her withdrawal, Chidimma Adetshina, a naturalized South African born to a Nigerian father and Mozambican mother, had made significant steps in the Miss South Africa pageant, successfully reaching the Top 30 and earning a spot as a finalist. Her achievement was a testament to her talent and dedication, making her decision to withdraw from the competition all the more notable.
