Manchester United goalkeeper André Onana has suffered a hamstring injury and will miss the entire pre-season.
Reports indicate he could be sidelined for six to eight weeks, potentially ruling him out of United's opening Premier League fixture against Arsenal on August 17th.

This injury comes at a crucial time for Manchester United, as new manager Ruben Amorim was already reportedly looking into the goalkeeper situation.

There have been previous discussions about potentially bringing in competition or even a new number one goalkeeper, with names like Diogo Costa and Emiliano Martinez being linked to the club.

With Onana now out for a significant period, Manchester United will need to make a decision regarding their goalkeeping options. Current backup goalkeepers Altay Bayındır and Tom Heaton are available, while 21-year-old Radek Vítek is also in the squad, although a step into the first team might be considered too soon for him.

The injury could accelerate Manchester United's plans in the transfer market, as they may now prioritize signing a new goalkeeper to provide cover or even compete for the starting spot while Onana recovers.
