Recent reports indicate a dynamic shift in the transfer market involving Liverpool, Newcastle, Alexander Isak, and Hugo Ekitike.

Alexander Isak's Situation:

Liverpool has reportedly approached Newcastle United to inquire about signing striker Alexander Isak.
However, Newcastle's stance remains firm: Isak is not for sale. They view him as a key figure in their squad, especially as they prepare for the Champions League next season, and are prioritizing a new deal for the 25-year-old.

Despite Newcastle's insistence, Liverpool is reportedly prepared to discuss a fee in the region of £120 million for Isak, indicating their strong interest.

Hugo Ekitike's Situation:
Newcastle United has made a strong push to sign Hugo Ekitike from Eintracht Frankfurt.
They submitted a club-record £70 million bid, which was turned down by the German club.
Newcastle has been in talks with Ekitike's representatives in Austria, signifying their serious intent to acquire the forward.
The Magpies are keen on Ekitike potentially playing alongside Alexander Isak, rather than as a replacement, to bolster their attacking options for multiple competitions.
Ekitike had a strong season for Eintracht Frankfurt last year, scoring 22 goals, and has been a long-term target for Newcastle, who previously attempted to sign him in 2022.

In essence, while Liverpool is showing significant interest in Isak, Newcastle is holding firm.
This has seemingly led Liverpool to consider Ekitike, who is also a target for Newcastle, with the Magpies having already had a substantial bid rejected. The transfer saga for both players appears to be heating up.
