A Lagos State Sexual Offences and Domestic Violence Court has sentenced a 24-year-old commercial driver, Abdul Hudu, to life imprisonment for the abduction and defilement of a 10-year-old girl. Hudu abducted the girl and held her for three days, subjecting her to unimaginable trauma and suffering.
During the trial, Hudu showed no remorse for his actions and even lied about the events of the abduction during his testimony. The court deemed Hudu's actions as severe offenses that deserve severe punishment, leading to the life imprisonment sentence. This ruling sends a strong message that such heinous crimes will not be tolerated in society.
