“Return Home, Gov Otti” — APGA Calls as Labour Wobbles, APC Wavers, and PDP Fades
The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has extended an open invitation to Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, urging him to return to what the party calls his “true political home.”
At a recent stakeholders’ meeting in Abia South Senatorial District, APGA’s National Vice Chairman (South East), Augustine Ehiemere, made a passionate appeal to the governor, praising his leadership while warning against aligning with what he described as unstable political platforms.
“Labour Party is presently a breeding ground for crisis. ADC is almost in disarray, APC is not a safe ground for him, and PDP has already diminished,” Ehiemere declared. “APGA remains the healthiest and most stable political party in Nigeria today.”
He added that Governor Otti, who contested under APGA in the 2015 and 2019 governorship elections, still has deep roots in the party and would find ideological stability and continuity in APGA.
Ehiemere applauded the governor’s achievements, especially in security, prompt salary payments, pensions, and the establishment of the Abia State Security Trust Fund, urging him to also prioritize the payment of outstanding gratuities for retired workers.
He praised the collaboration between Otti and Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah, calling it a model of regional unity.
Finally, Ehiemere rallied APGA supporters across Abia to remain steadfast in their commitment to the party, hinting that a political realignment in the state may be on the horizon.
