The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State has suspended former governor and current senator representing Ogun East, Gbenga Daniel, along with one of his loyalists, Kunle Folarin.
The suspension was ratified by the party's State Working Committee (SWC) at a meeting presided over by the state chairman, Chief Yemi Sanusi.

Here are the key details of the story:
Allegations: Gbenga Daniel and Kunle Folarin were suspended over alleged "anti-party misconduct" and "gross misconduct." The allegations originated from their respective wards in the Sagamu Local Government Area (Ward 4 and Ward 6).

Disciplinary Process: The party's statement, issued by the State Director of Publicity, Nuberu Olufemi, indicated that disciplinary committees were set up in their wards to investigate the allegations.

Failure to Cooperate: The party claimed that Daniel and Folarin failed to respond to written invitations, provide a written defense, or attend the disciplinary meetings.
 * Interference and Harassment: The committees also reportedly received notice that the two men had been harassing party members, warning them against cooperating with the committees, and using their positions to pressure members to withdraw petitions against them.

Indefinite Suspension: In light of their lack of cooperation and alleged interference, the ward committees resolved to suspend them indefinitely, a decision which was subsequently ratified by the State Working Committee.

Reasoning for Suspension: The party stated that the suspensions were based on the duo's failure to cooperate with the investigation and their attempts to pressure party members. The action was taken to "protect the integrity of the disciplinary process and to eliminate interference."

Gbenga Daniel's Response: A spokesperson for Gbenga Daniel stated that the senator would not react to the news, claiming they were only seeing the information on social media and that no official invitation had been sent to him by a disciplinary committee.
