Polish tennis sensation Iga Świątek has made history at Wimbledon, dominating the women's singles final against American Amanda Anisimova with a resounding 6-0, 6-0 victory.

The match, which lasted just 57 minutes, took place on Saturday, July 12, 2025.

This historic performance marks several firsts:
 * Świątek is the first Polish Wimbledon singles champion, male or female, in the Open Era.

 * It's also the first time in the Open Era that a women's player has won the Wimbledon title without losing a single game throughout the final match. This "double bagel" scoreline is the first in a Wimbledon women's singles final since 1911.

Despite a career that previously saw her struggle on grass courts, Świątek breezed through this year's draw, culminating in her dominant display on Centre Court.

Anisimova, playing in her first Grand Slam final, reached the championship match after a thrilling upset victory over world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka in the semifinals but appeared rattled by the occasion.

This victory adds a sixth Grand Slam title to Świątek's impressive career.
