In a move that has drawn widespread criticism, a video surfaced showing members of the Agunechemba Vigilante Group in Anambra State, also known as Operation Udo Ga-Achi, assaulting and stripping a female corps member.

The vigilante members accused her and other corps members of being fraudsters during the incident in the Oba Community of Idemnili South Local Government Area.

In response, the NYSC has condemned the act, calling the operatives' behavior "unacceptable and dehumanizing."
According to Caroline Embu, the NYSC Acting Director, Information and Public Relations, "there was no justification for such an action," regardless of any purported investigation.

The Anambra State Government has since announced that it has arrested the operatives involved and is investigating the matter. The NYSC has praised this action as a positive step and has committed to supporting the Nigeria Police Force's investigation to ensure justice is served.

Additionally, the NYSC stated that it is implementing "necessary administrative procedures" to provide the corps member with psychological and physiological support to help her recover from the trauma of the assault.
