According to Vanguard, eight of thirteen board members quit, leaving the federation in disarray.
Security agencies, including the Department of State Services, are probing the use of a 17‑billion‑naira intervention fund approved in 2024 to clear player wages and bonuses. Officials describe the probe as a routine audit.
