Maureen Achebe, daughter of the renowned novelist Chinua Achebe, has been honored with the 2024 Faculty Development and Diversity Award by Brigham and Women's Hospital.

This recognition celebrates her outstanding contributions and commitment to diversity in the medical field. Maureen Okam-Achebe holds multiple prestigious roles, including President of AIDE Healthcare International, Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School, and Director of the Outpatient Infusion Centre at Brigham and Women's Hospital.

She is also an Instructor in Medicine at Harvard Medical School and is triple-board certified in Medical Oncology, Hematology, and Internal Medicine. This award acknowledges her dedication to excellence in medicine and her efforts to promote diversity and inclusivity in the medical community.
