Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Tochi, has advised his ex-housemates struggling after the reality show to stop dwelling on their past celebrity status and go out to hustle, making it clear that not everyone is destined to become successful through the show.
Tochi gave the advice in a post while speaking to former housemates who are finding life difficult after leaving BBNaija.
“If you’re a Bbnaija ex-housemate and you’re going through a rough time listen, ‘pack up all that I am a celebrity nonsense and lock it inside a box.. come out and hustle oh, if not you go cry pass new born baby oh,’” Tochi wrote.
He said he has stopped defining himself by his time on the reality show and now sees himself as a businessman.
"I have even forgotten I went on that show since 2024, I see myself as a businessman now,” he said.
Tochi said former housemates need to realize that post-show success isn’t assured for all.
“Destiny differs, not everyone is destined to make it from the show, keep your head up and live your truth,” he wrote.
Furthermore, Tochi advised them to surround themselves with people who would support and encourage them, instead of those who persistently emphasize that they are public figures.
“When people see you let them not see you only as an ex-housemate but also a hustler with values trying to make it,” he added.
