Nottingham Forest Ange Postecoglou has been sacked immediately after the club's loss to Chelsea

He was sacked today, Saturday, October 18, 2025 immediately following the match against Chelsea
Among other reasons for his sack includes: A series of disappointing results and performances.

The club wrote, “Nottingham Forest Football Club can confirm that after a series of disappointing results and performances, Ange Postecoglou has been relieved of his duties as head coach with immediate effect. The Club will make no further comment at this time.”

Postecoglou’s reign produced no victories — with six losses, including a dramatic Carabao Cup exit to Swansea City, where Forest squandered a 2-1 lead in stoppage time to lose 3-2.

Their only reprieve came from hard-fought draws against Burnley in the Premier League and Real Betis in the Europa League.

His duration of being in charge was Approximately 39-40 days, making it one of the shortest managerial reigns in Premier League history.

Poor Record: He failed to win any of his eight games in charge across all competitions (drawing two and losing six).

His Final Match: A 3-0 home defeat to Chelsea proved the fatal blow leading to his sack.

He had replaced Nuno Espírito Santo in September, with the club anticipating better results, but his poor run has taken further down the league table...
