Flooding has struck again in Bauchi State, cutting off a crucial highway. The Kano-Maiduguri Expressway is now impassable due to the floodwaters, which have affected the Malori-Guskuri community in the Katagum Local Government Area.
This is the second time this highway has been cut off due to flooding, causing significant disruptions to transportation. Motorists are being forced to find alternative routes, which can be time-consuming and inconvenient.
The governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed, has appealed to the Federal Government to intervene and repair the damaged section of the highway as soon as possible. This would help alleviate the impacts on the transportation of goods and services and restore normalcy to the affected areas.
