Ministers to Unveil Tinubu’s Achievements at International Press Conference in London
Key members of President Bola Tinubu’s administration, including Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, and Dave Umahi, the Minister of Works, are heading to London for an international press conference. The conference will highlight their ministries’ key accomplishments and the broader achievements of the Tinubu government.
Bode Adeyemi, the Project Internal Coordinator for the President’s Midterm Legacy Projects Review Committee, confirmed this on Tuesday during a press conference in Abuja. He shared that a number of high-profile ministers, heads of departments, and other top officials are set to present the administration’s achievements at the event.
Among those expected to attend are Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, the Minister of Interior; Gbenga Komolafe, the Chief Executive of the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission; Usman Osidi, the Managing Director of the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria; and Zacheous Adedeji, the Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service, among others.
Adeyemi emphasized that President Tinubu’s administration has made unprecedented strides in just 24 months despite global economic challenges. He noted that detailed records of the government’s major achievements have been compiled into a comprehensive report, with an online version set to launch at the event. He commended the efforts of the ministers and heads of various departments for their contributions to the administration’s successes.
Tunde Doherty, the Chairman of the APC UK Chapter, stressed that the London event would present the true narrative of Nigeria’s governance under Tinubu, aiming to counter opposition claims. He pointed to the administration’s significant achievements in infrastructure, the economy, security, and healthcare. He specifically highlighted the operation of Nigerian and private refineries, the push for local government autonomy, and major infrastructure projects such as the Lagos-Calabar Coastal road and the Sokoto-Badagry superhighway. Doherty also mentioned the IMF debt repayment, subsidy removal, and strengthened rule of law as defining milestones of the administration.
The international press conference aims to showcase these accomplishments and solidify President Tinubu’s legacy on the global stage.
