A New Era of Man Talk: Ebuka Obi-Uchendu Launches ‘MENtality’ to Redefine Masculinity
Award-winning television host and media personality Ebuka Obi-Uchendu is set to debut a new podcast series titled MENtality with Ebuka, an in-depth exploration of masculinity and the evolving male experience in today’s society.
The highly anticipated show launches on October 28, 2025, and will bring together some of Nigeria’s most influential voices for candid conversations about what it means to be a man in the modern world.
The debut season will feature an impressive guest list, including Seun Kuti, Banky Wellington (Banky W), Noble Igwe, Johnny Drille, Timi Dakolo, Hermes Iyele, and Murewa and Michael Sonariwo of the Menisms podcast.
Produced by She Tank Studios, in partnership with Empire Mates Entertainment (EME), MENtality aims to spark open, reflective, and sometimes challenging discussions around love, religion, money, mental health, relationships, and societal expectations.
Speaking about the inspiration behind the project, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu emphasized that the goal is to reshape how masculinity is perceived and expressed.
“Too often, men feel pressured to fit into outdated moulds of masculinity. We are creating a space where men can speak honestly about who they are, their struggles, fears, and growth without shame,” Ebuka said.
Co-producer and guest Banky Wellington added that MENtality extends beyond male audiences, offering insight and understanding for everyone.
“These conversations are not just for men. They are for women, families, and communities who are all impacted by evolving gender norms. Our hope is that MENtality with Ebuka becomes a tool for understanding, empathy, and change,” Banky explained.
Blessing Omakwu, Executive Producer and Founder of The She Tank, described the project as part of a larger mission to engage men in gender discourse.
“Gender equality is impossible if we ignore masculinity. Issues like incel culture and gender-based violence are shaped by how men are taught to see themselves,” she noted.
New episodes of MENtality with Ebuka will be released weekly, available in both audio and video formats on YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and other major streaming platforms.
With Ebuka’s signature mix of charisma and curiosity, MENtality is shaping up to be one of the most talked-about podcast launches of the year — a refreshing and necessary space for conversations on manhood, vulnerability, and change.
