Seyi Vibez Begins New Era with Surprise EP ‘Children of Africa’
Nigerian street-hop sensation Seyi Vibez has kicked off 2025 with a surprise 4-track EP titled Children of Africa. The project, released on February 21, marks his first release since parting ways with Dapper Music in 2024.
Seyi Vibez, who had a stellar 2024, ending the year with Apple Music Nigeria’s biggest song, took to Instagram Stories to announce the project. He encouraged fans to stream the EP, stating that big things start small.
The EP includes a collaboration with American Trap artist NLE Choppa on the track MACHO, further showcasing his growing international reach. Known for his fusion of Apala, Afrobeats, and Hip-Hop, Seyi Vibez has become a dominant force in Nigerian music since his mainstream breakthrough in 2023.
Children of Africa is his sixth solo project in three years and follows his July 2024 release, Loseyi Professor. The EP is his first under his independent label No Seyi No Vibez INC, in partnership with EMPIRE, after leaving Dapper Music.
Early reactions suggest that the street-influenced track Shaolin is already gaining momentum as a fan favorite. With this new release, Seyi Vibez continues his chart-topping streak, proving he remains a force to be reckoned with in Afrobeats.
